The Earth, moving in its orbit around the Sun, makes a complete revolution around its axis per day. Thanks to this, every morning the Sun rises, during the day it is at the Zenith (maximum position above the horizon), in the evening we watch its sunset, and when we are already fast asleep at night, the Sun passes through the Nadir (position under the horizon opposite to the Zenith). These points are key when constructing horoscope houses. The rising point is called the Ascendant and is the beginning of the first house. The starting point – Descendant – is the beginning of the seventh house, and Zenith is the beginning of the tenth house of the horoscope.
There are twelve houses of the horoscope, describing the main areas of human life. Each house is symbolically associated with the characteristics of a certain zodiac sign and largely manifests its qualities. Unlike signs, the sector of which always has 30 degrees, houses have different lengths. Some may include two or three Zodiac signs, while others may have less than one.
